It is suitable for the manufacture of cross roller bearing rings with wall thickness greater than 12mm and outer diameter ≥250mm and rollers with diameter >22mm. After special heat treatment, the surface hardness can reach 1096HV and the depth of the hardened layer can reach 1mm‌1.

‌GCr6 bearing steel ‌ : mainly used for the production of measuring tools, with better hardenability and hardness ‌1.

‌GCr9 bearing steel ‌ : mainly used for the production of steel balls and rollers, with high wear resistance and hardness ‌1.
